NASA Educational trip.
NASA Trip
RAMJAS PUSA ROAD
A group of students along with the
Principal, Mrs Mohini Bindra, and two teachers went on a 10-day educational trip
to the United States of America.
In
Orlando, they visited the "Kennedy Space Centre" to explore, learn about the challenges,
functioning of space missions & understand the recent developments made in
Space Science. The students experienced the launch of NASA’s Space Shuttle and
interacted with astronaut Barbara Morgan. Furthermore, they were amazed to see
the original version of the Atlantis. Subsequently, a highly informative
journey, “Explorer’s Tour”, of the Kennedy Space Centre was undertaken by them.
They also engaged themselves in fun activities at Universal Studios & Disneyland.
In New York—the Harbour Cruise gave them a
historic view of the statue of Liberty and the spectacular New York skyline. The students
also visited the Niagara Falls which was just awe-inspiring.
The purpose of the entire exercise was to create
effective Global Citizens by exposing students to “Learning by Doing” and get to know other people, places and
cultures through travel, which also complements the classroom learning. This
goes a long way in contributing to International understanding, harmony and
future collaborations
