Commonwealth - Activity 1 - BCL movies on Child Rights

On 23 & 24 January, 2015, students of X class were made aware of the problems faced by their counterparts in other countries by showing them 2 BCL movies on:

Oli's Child Marriage Crusade of Bangladesh; and
Barefoot of Kenya

After that, a group discussion was held and each group was asked to provide their opinions on the discussed issue. Students were also asked to recite their own daily-life experience, related to the discussed issue.
Students showed immense excitement and actively participated in the project.

Inter-house Commonwealth Quiz

As a part of the 2014 Commonwealth Games held at Glasgow, an “Inter-house Commonwealth Quiz” competition was held at Ramjas School, Pusa Road in the month of October. There were eight rounds, consisting of current affairs, spell bee, rapid fire etc. The main focus of the Quiz was “Commonwealth” where in students were tested on the history of the Commonwealth games and in the visual round certain athletes and stadiums were featured. It was a keenly contested event.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation from various houses.

Speaking on the occasion the Principal, Mrs Mohini Bindra, highlighted the importance of being aware of the World we live in and the major events that happen round the World.
